Nature Group Therapy

REach a NEw level of Change

Nature Group Therapy is a therapeutic experience that brings individuals together in a supportive group setting while engaging with the restorative power of the natural world. Guided by a licensed clinician, this approach integrates evidence‑based group therapy practices with intentional time outdoors to support emotional regulation, self‑awareness, and meaningful interpersonal connection. The natural environment becomes an active part of the healing process, offering space, rhythm, and calm that many people find.

This form of therapy blends traditional group work with structured outdoor experiences, including gentle walking, grounding exercises, mindful observation, and reflective group dialogue. Sessions often take place in parks, trails, gardens, or other accessible natural settings, allowing participants to step away from daily stressors and connect more deeply with themselves and others. Nature serves as both the setting and a therapeutic partner, providing sensory input, metaphors for growth and change, and opportunities for insight that emerge organically.

Spending time in nature has been shown to help regulate the nervous system and reduce stress, making it easier for participants to engage in therapeutic work. The outdoor environment can support emotional balance, improve mood, and increase present‑moment awareness. Many individuals find that being outside softens emotional defenses, enhances creativity, and allows difficult experiences to feel more manageable and less overwhelming.

Nature Group Therapy may be beneficial for individuals experiencing stress, anxiety, burnout, trauma-related symptoms, depression, or significant life transitions. It can also support those seeking deeper self‑understanding, emotional resilience, and authentic connection. This is not a wilderness or adventure program; it is a clinically informed, supportive therapy group designed to move at a gentle and intentional pace.
