At The Art of Emotion, we believe the financial side of Therapy is an important part of the therapeutic relationship. We are committed to transparency, fairness, and support so you can focus on your healing without unnecessary stress or surprises.


In-Network Insurance Benefits

Before your first session, we recommend contacting your insurance company to understand your specific benefits. Call the customer service number on the back of your insurance card and ask about your mental health coverage, including any deductibles, copays, coinsurance, or session limits.


We are currently in-network with the following insurance plans:

Payment at Time of Service: You are responsible for paying any copay, coinsurance, or deductible amounts at the time of your session.

Viewing Your Billing: For full transparency, you can view your billing statements and payment history anytime through your secure SimplePractice Client Portal.



Out-of-Network Insurance Benefits 

If we are not in-network with your insurance plan, you are welcome to schedule sessions using our self-pay rates.


Some insurance plans offer out-of-network benefits. If your plan includes out-of-network coverage, we may be able to file claims for reimbursement, depending on your payer’s requirements.


For all other out-of-network situations, we can provide superbills (itemized receipts) that you may submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement.


Because reimbursement policies vary widely by plan and payer, we cannot guarantee that any reimbursement will be issued. We recommend contacting your insurance company to confirm your out-of-network mental health benefits and reimbursement details prior to your first appointment.


Self-Pay Session Rates (per 50-minute session)

  • Individual Therapy: $150
  • Couples Therapy: $200


Sliding Scale: We offer a limited sliding scale based on financial need. If you believe you may qualify, please mention it when you schedule so we can discuss your situation.


Note: All self-pay payments are due in full at the time of your session.

Cancellation Policy: 

If you do not show up for your scheduled therapy appointment or do not notify your Therapist at least 24 hours in advance, you will be required to pay a missed session fee of $75.00, as your Therapist has reserved that time slot just for you.
