Stephanie Paley-Quain, MS, NCC, LPC, is a master’s level clinician who graduated from Thomas Jefferson University in 2022, where she received a degree in Community and Trauma Counseling with a Specialization in Play Therapy. Stephanie is also a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC) who has submitted for her LPC. Stephanie completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Tampa, majoring in Psychology. While completing her master’s degree, Stephanie worked as a clinical counseling intern at Survivors of Abuse in Recovery Inc., which is a nonprofit dedicated to helping individuals who have suffered from sexual abuse. In addition to providing individual therapy, Stephanie works as an Intensive Outpatient (IOP) Therapist at Sanare Today, providing evaluations and facilitating a tween (ages 10-13) group.
Stephanie has experience working with diverse clients using an integrative and eccentric approach. Stephanie specializes in treating those who are struggling with anxiety, depression, suicidal ideation, self-harming behaviors, sexual abuse trauma, complex trauma, trauma and stressor-related disorders, personality disorders, and adjustment/life transitions. Stephanie primarily utilizes a combination of person-centered, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and play therapy. She also is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
Stephanie works to create a safe and comfortable space for clients to express themselves in whatever way they need to! Stephanie is very creative and loves incorporating arts and crafts, music, etc., into her sessions. Additionally, Stephanie utilizes play therapy techniques such as sand trays, arts and crafts, and games to help create a safe space that allows children and adolescents to find a way to express and process emotions and experiences. They gain emotional mastery and develop strategies to cope with difficult situations.
In her free time, Stephanie enjoys being outside, going to the beach, spending time with friends and family, listening to music, doing something crafty, and binge-watching TV shows.
